Services

Educational Advocacy

I’ve chosen to become self employed because I want to provide more individualized attention for fewer client families. My expertise includes:

  • Diagnostic clarification
  • Entering early intervention
  • Navigating the K-12 educational experience
  • Representing families in team meetings, dispute resolution, and mediation
  • Transition planning – preparing for life after leaving the school system (includes adult services, college, transition programs, job)

Young Adult Coaching

when kids are younger, I typically work with their parents – but as a child reaches their teenage years and beyond, I work more and more directly with the young person to better understand their strengths, challenges, interests, and goals – and then we work together towards those goals

My Network

I also maintain a very broad set of contacts in the Boston area and beyond, and these contacts will “pick up the phone” when I call. This means that when I’m working with a family we can more quickly explore various placements, supports and other resources (such as partial hospitalization programs, therapists, executive function coaches, psychiatrists, out of district placements, camps, social cognitive centers and supports, specialized driving instruction, neuropsychologists, etc.)

Concierge Services

when appropriate, I have the ability and willingness to handle the transportation to/from various appointments when parent or caregiver cannot be present. I can also take notes and carry messages to/from caregiver and professional service provider. I can attend with parents (in person or online) intake appointments, readouts, IEP meetings, teacher or service provider meetings, and can help with prep before a given meeting or with note taking during and/or follow up processing after.
